Orhan Güner: "We Will Increase Our Investments for A Sustainable Environment and Production"
Orhan Güner, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vefa Group, stated, "Aware of our country's energy dependency and the ever-increasing energy demand, we attach great importance to solar power plant investments. As one of the three fibercement producers in Turkey, we switched to using renewable energy sources by investing in a solar power plant at Ekobord production facility. We will generate more than 50% of the electricity consumed in production from the solar power plant. Following the successful launch of power plant in our Bilecik factory, we will continue our efforts to make solar power plant investments for our other group brands."

Emphasizing the importance of renewable energy sources in reducing carbon emissions within the framework of the Paris Agreement and the EU Green Deal, to which our country is a party, Orhan Güner said, "Sustainable production and environmental sensitivity have been our priorities from the very beginning. By maximizing our savings from limited energy resources and carrying out our production, we strive to leave a livable environment for future generations. We reflect our environmentally friendly approach in every stage of our production. We use recycled raw materials. Our 'Ecological House,' which we previously launched as a self-sufficient, minimum-carbon-emitting project, minimized energy losses with its insulation values. Today, with our solar power plant investment at the Ekobord production facility, we are both saving more than 50% of the energy used in production and carrying out environmentally friendly production."
